Hello school community

Dear Quartz Hill Elementary Students, Families, and Staff,

I hope you are enjoying a joyful and restful summer with your loved ones. It is with great pride and excitement that I introduce myself as the new principal of Quartz Hill Elementary. I am truly honored to join this strong and diverse community, one that celebrates its traditions, values each child’s uniqueness, and strives for academic excellence.

With over 20 years in education, I have had the privilege of serving as a teacher, instructional leader, and school administrator. Throughout my career, I have been committed to ensuring that every student, regardless of background, language, or ability, feels seen, supported, and empowered to succeed. I look forward to partnering with all of you to continue making Quartz Hill Elementary a place where students grow not just academically, but socially and emotionally as well.

This year, our theme is "Lights, Camera, Action!", a celebration of the creativity, confidence, and courage it takes to shine. We will be encouraging students to step into the spotlight as leaders of their learning, take risks, and showcase their talents both in and out of the classroom. I cannot wait to see how this theme comes to life in our classrooms, events, and everyday interactions.

As we gear up for the start of the school year, I will be sending out more detailed information, including classroom assignments, event schedules, and important reminders to help everyone start the year feeling informed and ready. We are planning a warm welcome for all our returning families and those new to Quartz Hill, we are so glad you are here.

Before we begin this exciting new chapter, I would also like to express heartfelt appreciation for Mrs. Valenzuela and the leadership she brought to our school. While she is moving into a new role, we are grateful that she will continue to serve our district. We wish her all the best as she begins this next phase of her journey.

Thank you for welcoming me into the Quartz Hill family. Please find attached a copy of our school calendar. School will begin on Monday, August 4. I look forward to meeting each of you and working together to make this school year a memorable one. The stage is set, now it is time for lights, camera, action!
